What a journey! Thank you for taking us along for the ride. :)
Sometimes I talk to my therapist and I’ll express about things not going my way and she’ll say Hmm sounds like this is an intentional gift from God to you. Very sweet to hear how yall essentially got that message and found peace and joy in the letting go.
Also, so sweet to hear the partnership and connection you and Andrew share. Beautiful and inspiring.
I also love love love your journey entry. So relatable to my sick journey experience (which is now also thankfully past tense!!) and so nice to just say what’s real! Even if it’s not optimistic or the pleasant thing. Loved that. Looking forward to talking to you soon! ❤️
I love that your therapist shouts out G-O-D in your sessions. Life goals. And sooooo happy for you that your sickness journey is also past tense! Thanks for saying and reflecting what's real always, Jonathan.
And I love the way your story so simply and beautifully underscores for me the incredible magic wisdom of our bodies. I suspect they often feel our “trying” as a primal message that we are not safe… that survival is not straightforward right now, that stress is high, and they mercifully (though so often, frustratingly!) determine this is not a good time to make us infinitely vulnerable to bring in another infinitely vulnerable tiny being.
Then when we let go, it’s like that sending a green light to that primal guard in us: “all is well. It’s safe now” and boom! Hello, baby. ❤️❤️❤️
It amazes me how frequently I see this pattern with women, and I fall in love with us, our biology, and our great Mother all the more every time.
Hi Shannon, thanks so much for this beautiful reflection. Reading your words here really helped me understand what I'd experienced on a deeper level, and also to feel even more subtly into the embodied wisdom that transcends the cognitive. Thank you for celebrating me, and us, and the web we're all part of with your beautiful words!
How wonderful!!! Thank you for sharing your pregnancy journey- what a blessing! Hugs to all three of you! ❤️
You're so welcome, and thank you, Liza, for being and reading along for the ride with us!
